April 1989, London This was the first of many times I shot Mudhoney and they never failed to charm with their good humour and passionate love of music. They were always overawed by the fact that I was on good terms with Spacemen 3 which always amused me greatly. In fact my take is that it was precisely their good naturedness that hampered them in becoming as big as their many grunge contempoaries. However they are still cranking out killer tunes to this day. A small section of this contact sheet was recently used on Keith Cameron's book 'Mudhoney: The sound and the fury from Seattle' and very nice it looks too!
